Baseline
High level multi sectoral committee that seeks to determine climate change priorities for the country and mainstream climate change in policies, programmes and strategies for the country. Mainstreaming of climate change can take place through this committee
Target 2020
Operationalization of climate change policy including putting in place adequate capacity for coordination. This is expected to result in the greater reflection of climate change considerations in the work of line ministries. First climate change communication strategy approved and operational. This will mean a more strategic approach towards public education and awareness related to climate change. This included communications with other state and non-state actors. Low carbon Road Map being implemented. Nationally determined contributions (NDC) under the UNFCCC being implemented. Implement the Adaptation Strategy for the Agriculture Sector.
